The I-Mormon Community Covenant
“I affirm toward myself and all others in this I-Mormon community that all people have the right to embrace truth without limits: so long as whatever that may be is clearly manifested to their minds. I acknowledge the plain truth that this is Joseph Smith’s definition of the Restored Gospel – the only ‘Mormonism’ he promoted.”
Joseph wrote a letter to a non-convert to clearly define Mormonism.
On March 22nd, 1939, Joseph Smith sent a message to Isaac Galland, while imprisoned in Liberty, Missouri. What is remarkable about this historic articulation, is it proves what the 1st Principles of The Faith really mean.

“And not only this, but those things which never have been revealed from the foundation of the world, but have been kept hid from the wise and prudent, shall be revealed unto babes and sucklings in this, the dispensation of the fulness of time.”
Would to God, brethren, I could tell you who I am! Would to God I could tell you what I know! But you would call it blasphemy, and there are men upon this stand who would want to take my life.
“Mormonism” includes all truth. There is no truth but what belongs to the Gospel. It is life, eternal life; it is bliss; it is the fulness of all things in the gods and in the eternities of the gods.
...those things that were presented unto your minds by the Spirit of God, will come to pass; and thus by learning the Spirit of God and understanding it, you may grow into the principle of revelation, until you become perfect in Christ Jesus.
